Getting Started as a Marketplace Contributor
Publishing to the Biztraak Marketplace generally starts with a project when the selected contributor workflow requires one.
You build and deploy your app, template, or integration inside Biztraak just like you would for your own team, then you select which parts of that project to publish, and submit them for Marketplace review.
Step 1. Create a Project
- Go to your Biztraak Dashboard.
- Create a new project:
- Start with a Template, or
- Import your own repository.
- Add components (frontend, backend, DB, federated apps) as needed.
Where the project-based contributor workflow is enabled, the project provides a useful place to build and test the item. A project does not by itself guarantee deployability, audit readiness, or compliance.
Step 2. Configure & Test
- Use Build Reviews to validate your work.
- Deploy to staging or production inside Biztraak.
- Review the available governance status, deployment outputs, and test results.
Some publishing paths may require an item to work as a running project. Confirm the requirements shown by the current contributor workflow.
Step 3. Select What to Publish
Inside your project:
- Open Marketplace → Publish.
- Choose what you want to share:
- Template: publish the entire project as a reusable foundation.
- Component: publish a single frontend, backend, DB, or service.
- Federated App: publish a plug-and-play integration.
- Provide metadata:
- Name, description, categories, tags
- Supported frameworks and providers
- Security and governance profile (support, data handling, operational notes)
- Screenshots and demo URLs
Step 4. Submit for Review
The product may expose more than one publishing or review path:
Standard Publish
- The workflow may request security, dependency, licensing, or governance information.
- Listing status is determined by the current review and publishing workflow.
Biztraak Verified (Coming Soon / where enabled)
- A future or workflow-specific manual review may provide additional listing information.
- Do not assume a verified badge, security review, compliance review, search priority, or featured placement.
Step 5. Manage your Store Item
- Versioning: push updates and mark them as patch/minor/major.
- Changelogs: communicate what’s new.
- Deprecation: gracefully retire outdated versions.
See Versioning for details.
Step 6. Monetize your Work (Coming Soon / where enabled)
- Choose from the pricing and distribution options exposed by the current Marketplace workflow.
- Configure payment details only through an authenticated product workflow when it is available.
- Spotlight, revenue share, and payout eligibility are workflow-specific. see Billing.
See Billing for setup.
Best Practices
- Document clearly (README, setup, use cases).
- Keep dependencies secure and up-to-date.
- Only publish items that meet the requirements shown by the selected contributor workflow.
- Design for extensibility, let others fork or build on your work.

With Biztraak, supported Marketplace workflows can connect publishing to project context, testing, and deployment information. Review the listing requirements and status before treating an item as production-ready or compliance-reviewed.
